Medals

Coinage without nominal value, i.e. the coins never was an official currency. They are mostly published by private enterprises or by public institutions (UN organizations) etc. This coinage often becomes recommended as a "strictly limited commemorative coinage", partially also as a subscription. Nevertheless, we only can dissuade from the purchase of such pieces, because they practically possess no collector's value. This coinage often achieves just the precious metal value less costs for the melting; it is a fraction of the purchase price. Our tip: Only coinage with printed nominal value may be called "coins". All other are, regardless of what the advertising slogans say, often only worthless - medals.
