Minting process

Already for the coinage there are (at least) the high-class steps which differ in the production procedure. First there are the stamp shine coins. These coins are minted for the "normal" circulation. Particularly for collectors an edition is often minted in "proof quality" whereas the coin blank (and/or the stamp) is polished, so that the background shines and the motive mostly remains matt. For FRG-commemorative coins this implementation is called partially also “proof like” (spgl.).
